GENERAL CONDITIONS

By signing the registration form, the student accepts the following terms and conditions.

1. Registration

1.1. The particular conditions of each course in terms of duration, sessions, start and end dates, contracted services, as well as the levels and specific associated activities are expressed in the budget accepted by the student and in the registration form.
1.2. The students will be organized by levels of knowledge and the definitive schedules will be communicated prior to the beginning of the course. The academy reserves the possibility of modifying the schedules according to organizational needs.
1.3. The teachers will be native Spanish speakers and qualified to teach Spanish. Groups will never exceed 12 students.
1.4. Minors under 18 years of age must present prior authorization.

2. Reservation and enrollment procedure

2.1. The interested party must request a quote from the academy by the following means: Filling out and sending the quote request form on our web page, contacting the academy by e-mail (oficina@plazadelasflores.com or info@spanishlanguage.es), by telephone (+34 952800491) or in person at our office located at Plaza las Flores, nº 5, Estepona (Málaga) 29680.
2.2. The academy will send the interested party an estimate corresponding to the request. In the case that the interested party agrees, he/she must communicate the acceptance of the budget by sending the signed budget along with proof of payment of the amount stipulated in the budget (minimum to reserve a place: registration (if applicable) and / or 20% of the cost of the course).
2.3. One month before the beginning of the course the student must transfer the rest of the amount to complete the total price of the course.
2.4. In all transfers made by the student must indicate his name and send as far as possible the proof of the transfer to the academy. Bank commissions will always be charged to the student.
2.5. As long as the transfer is not received, the student will not have reserved and confirmed his place.

3. Price of the course

3.1. The price of the course includes in general:
  • Registration and initial level test.

  • Didactic material stipulated in the course modality and other necessary materials.

  • Level test exams in preparation for official exams.

  • Student’s guide, information about the academy and the city.

  • Participation in general and free activities organized by the school.

  • Academy Wifi.

  • Certificate of attendance to the course (not officially valid).

3.2. Not included in the price of the course.
  • Official fees for exams

  • Didactic materials stipulated in the course modality and other necessary materials. Unless its inclusion in the price of the course is agreed in advance. (it would be reflected upon the budget)

  • Transportation from/to the airport or train station (transfer).

  • Travel insurance

  • Access to specific activities, which will be established at a cost.

  • Anything that is not expressly stated in the registration form or in the general conditions of the course.

4. Timetable, group and level assignment

4.1. The student will be able to take a level test before arrival, which will allow the center to assign him/her to a group according to his/her level and interest.
4.2. When the student arrives at the academy, a new level test can be taken, this time in person, to confirm the student’s language level and to assign him/her to the group that finally corresponds to him/her according to his/her level.

Cancellations

5.1. All cancellations must be communicated in writing by e-mail to oficina@plazadelasflores.com or info@spanishlanguage.es or in person at our office located in Plaza las Flores, nº 5, Estepona (Málaga) 29680 for them to be valid.
5.2. For cancellations made one month in advance the academy will refund the amount of the course minus the reservation fee (registration fee (if applicable) and/or the amount corresponding to 20% of the total price of the course).
5.3. For those made less than one month in advance the academy will not refund any amount but the student will be able to use the same amount for the realization of the course of similar characteristics and provided that there is availability within 1 year.
5.4. Once the course has started, if the student has to abandon the course for reasons beyond the academy’s control, no refund will be made.
5.4. If the student cancels their lesson 24 hours before the start of the lesson, it will be taken as taught. The student will not be able to neither compensate the lesson in another time nor have it refunded.
5.5. The academy may cancel the course if there is no confirmed place. When only one or two people participate in the group, they will be offered either to continue in the course with the conditions and prices of private or semiprivate course or a change of dates, as the student wishes. If the student doesn’t agree, they will be returned the paid money belonging to the classes they haven’t taken.
5.6. In the event of force majeure or pandemic, the student will have the right to cancel his/her participation in the course and receive all amounts paid to date.

6. Student’s insurance

6.1. The academy has a general liability and accident insurance for all students and for those incidents that may occur within the facilities, incidents occurring outside these or on the way to them will not be covered.
6.2. The student may take out a private travel insurance policy to cover all other incidents that may occur. The academy recommends to contract a medical assistance insurance, especially for those who do not belong to the European Union.

7. Conditions of the school

7.1. The academy has a complaints book in accordance with the official regulations.
7.2. On national, regional (Andalusia) or local (Estepona) holidays, no classes will be given and the corresponding amount will not be refunded.
7.3. It is included 5 break minutes at the end of each lesson hour. If the session is longer than 1 hour, break time can be distributed throughout the session as it better suits the lesson
7.4. Violence or disrespect to other students or staff of the academy may force the student to leave the course.
7.5. The student authorizes the academy so that those graphic images or videos, in any format, that the academy may capture, are used to inform and / or publicize the activity of the academy. These may be reproduced in paper format, on the academy’s websites, social networks as well as in publications owned by the academy. The treatment of such material will always be from the respect and in accordance with the Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, 2018, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD GDD), being able to exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition in relation to their personal data subject to these treatments, via email oficina@plazadelasflores.com or info@spanishlanguage.es. The images will not be used for any purpose other than that expressed.
7.6. These general conditions will be delivered and signed by the student upon arrival at the academy.

8. Accommodation

8.1. For those cases in which the student contracts accommodation, he/she must communicate one week in advance the time of arrival and departure of the same. Always in accordance with the rules of the establishment or, where appropriate, those stipulated with the host.
8.2. The Academy will indicate to the student the accommodation according to the requirements set by the student, and the academy may change the accommodation as long as they match or exceed these characteristics.
8.3. Any change of accommodation requested by the student without justified cause entails a management cost to be borne by the student and this change will be possible as long as there are places available with similar characteristics to those contracted.
8.4. Once the stay in the accommodation has begun, it can only be abandoned by giving one week’s notice in writing.
8.5. The student will accept all the rules indicated by each accommodation or establishment.

9. Pick up transport

9.1. For those cases in which the student hires transportation, he/she must communicate the arrival and departure flight information one week in advance. The contract is for a single journey between the airport and the accommodation chosen by the student.
9.2. The school will inform the student of the meeting time and place.
9.3. Any changes that may occur must be communicated to the telephone number indicated in the information of the academy and always with sufficient time in advance so that the academy can reorganize the pick up. Any extra charges that these changes entail must be paid by the student.
9.4. If the student does not show up within 60 minutes of the agreed time and location, the service will be cancelled, but the student will still have to pay for the service.

ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS

By signing this document, it is understood that you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions of Plaza de las Flores – Spanish Courses, published in www.plazadelasflores.com and www.spanishlanguage.es.
